Borgo San Paolino


Borgo San Paolino was built at the end of 1700 beginning of 1800. Born as a monastery run by the Paolini Friars of Aquileia in order to assist pilgrims from the north down toward Aquileia, Venice and the religious function hostel.

A boundary wall at the top 3,50 mt made of stones surrounds the whole village, creating atmosphere, security and tranquility.

Renovated respecting the constraints imposed by the fine arts, is currently still known as “The Conventino” and is registered at the Land Registry as a historic building.

It is located very close to Cividale del Friuli, accessible by bike path, it is set in a quiet rural area and 13 km from the center of Udine.
